Our Verdict
We were delighted every time we clicked into the Atomic Maverick 95 Ti. With a burly 19.3-meter listed turning radius, we found this ski to be agile and more exciting than that number suggests. Atomic incorporates poplar wood, lightweight fiberglass, and titanium layers in a ski that we feel is accessible to a wide range of skier abilities. The Maverick 95 Ti is best skied with energy and athleticism and is a strong contender in the Terrain Playfulness metric. We noticed a smaller "sweet spot" and some chatter, especially when skiing fast. The Maverick 95 Ti is still very rewarding when you get it right and keep moving forward. Our Analysis and Test Results
The impressive Atomic Maverick 95 Ti is for the athletic skier who wants a challenge. Touted as a "wildly versatile all-mountain ski" by Atomic, we found it to be exciting and rewarding. Despite the 19.3-meter turn radius, the Maverick 95 Ti skied more nimbly and precisely than similarly constructed skis. This is truly a strong competitor in the Terrain Playfulness category especially if you are an advanced to expert-level skier.

Stability at Speed
The Maverick 95 Ti is constructed with poplar wood, lightweight fiberglass,
and titanium layers which provides for a traditional feeling ski at speed. Atomic includes HRZN tech (early rise) which we noticed may increase chatter at high rates of speed. We found a medium speed to be better suited for this ski which enables the tip to hook up without as much chatter. This helped us feel more confident when venturing off-trail.
Carving Ability
While still achieving a good score for carving, the Atomic Maverick 95 Ti is not as strong as other skis in this rating metric. For as quick as it feels edge to edge compared to similarly-waisted skis, we found more overall carving performance out of other contenders. This may relate to the Maverick 95 Ti's smaller feeling "sweet spot" but it is still quite rewarding when you get it right.
Solid carving performance can be accessed if you're able to stay in the ski's "sweet spot."

Powder Performance
We tested the Maverick 95 Ti in spring conditions and were unable to get the experience we would like in true mid-winter powder conditions. This ski is narrower than some but also boasts "wild versatility" says Atomic. We will continue pushing the Maverick once the snow falls this year, and will update this review with a complete powder profile we're confident with.
We're excited to try softer days than this one on the Maverick 95 Ti.

Crud Performance
For the Crud metric, we primarily skied the Maverick 95 Ti in extra firm and semi-firm suncups. These are conditions that require a strong mix of precision and athleticism from both the ski and pilot. Atomic's HRZN tech allows the ski's blend of materials to extend all the way through the middle of the tip of the ski. The sides of the Maverick 95 Ti's tip have noticeable thinner cutouts in the material. We found this technology allows the tip to both deflect and grip well at the appropriate times.

Terrain Playfulness
Atomic's 20/70/10 blend of Rocker/Camber/Rocker in the Maverick 95 Ti really comes alive off-piste. We had a blast carving, smearing, and generally mixing it up across all terrain. The combination of HRZN tech and early rise in this ski helps it to grab just the right amount when on edge even in nasty spring conditions. That said, the Maverick 95 Ti still requires an athletic skier to negotiate changing terrain and conditions.

Should you buy the Maverick 95 Ti?
The Atomic Maverick 95 Ti is among the most well-rounded skis in our review. While it is more expensive than our pick for the Best Buy Award, it still achieves quite a robust overall score at a reasonable price. If you like dabbling in a bit of everything on any particular ski trip, this may be the right pick for you.
What Other All Mountain Skis Should You Consider?
The Maverick 95 Ti has cemented itself for us as a nimble and rewarding all-mountain ski. If you're a hard-charger looking for the ultimate in edge control, we'd recommend the Kastle FX96 Ti. If you're looking for a little better powder performance, check out the Blizzard Rustler 9.
