Our Analysis

Discontinued
The Fivefingers Speed has been discontinued. For a head-to-head comparison of today's top products, check out our updated Minimalist and Barefoot Running Shoes review.

The Vibram Fivefingers Speed is a close relative to the Vibram FiveFingers Bikila LS. The main difference is that the Speed uses a thinner 2mm insole compared the Bikila LS which uses 3mm. Other than the main difference is the look. The Speed uses a more traditional lacking system while the Bikila LS uses a speed lace system. The Speed is slightly lighter and a little more breathable. Because it has a more flexible upper, it is one of the best FiveFingers for running if you have wide feet. It is also one of the most comfortable FiveFingers and we think one of the best looking. At first glance it looks like a casual sneaker.

Overall, we like the weight, feel and look of the Speed better than the Bikila LS. However, the Bikila is burlier and better for you if you run on pavement a lot.
