Our Verdict

The 90 Degree by Reflex are flattering and breathable leggings, but they sometimes do not want to stay in place. We loved wearing them in yoga because certain poses, where our legs were spread apart, helped keep our pants up. When we did HIIT or running workouts, we found that we were constantly pulling them up to avoid a 'saggy-crotch' situation. The biggest downfall is the durability or lack thereof. From the first moment we tried them on, we heard audible sounds in the seams, which turned into holes later on. Lastly, the purple color turned more grey after use and several washes. While these may be a good choice for some people, they are not the best yoga pants we tried out.

Breathability

The material is a polyester and spandex blend and is very thick, especially around the pocket area. Despite the thickness, we found these pants to be very breathable during hot yoga and running. However, the pockets on the side added an extra layer of fabric that made the pant feel more substantial and constricting.

Ease of Movement

We found during high-intensity activities, these yoga pants tended to ride down a bit, causing a 'saggy crotch.' This issue is not ideal when trying to maintain breath and consistency during practice. During our runs and HIIT sessions, we found ourselves stopping to readjust often. It is especially surprising that these pants ride down because they are advertised as "tummy control" pants. However, we did high-intensity activities and found they would ride away from our tummy, causing a bit of a muffin top around our belly.

When we used the side pockets for our phone on runs, we found the pants would ride down even faster. These pockets are only helpful for post-yoga brunches when you want to carry your phone and wallet. Regardless of these pants' unwillingness to stay in place during high-intensity activities, we found them easy to move in during yoga and other light to medium intensity exercises. Yoga involves our legs being spread out quite a bit, and we found those movements help keep our pants in place.

Comfort and Fit

The first time we put 90 Degree Relex on, we thought they were a great fit. However, the seams started to loosen up significantly, which contributed to them riding down a lot with use. These pants are supposed to fit tight around your ankle, but during high-intensity activity, we found the ankle would flare out a bit from these pants, riding down. To reiterate, because these pants ride down, you may get a saggy bum and crotch, which is not ideal during high-intensity activities (we do not appreciate having to pull them up during practice).

Durability

Have you ever given a pair of pants a solid tug to pull them up and hear an audible sound in the seams? This issue is precisely what we experienced the first time we put these pants on. It is not because we ordered the wrong size. Yoga pants are meant to fit tight, and when the seams are made correctly, there is no problem giving your pants a big tug to pull them up. There is visible tearing around the bum and thighs and the start of holes — just from putting these pants on.

The color of the fabric faded significantly through our testing. You can see in the photos below that when we first had them, they were a vibrant color, but when we completed testing, they almost looked grey.

You can see at the beginning of our testing 90 Degree Reflex had a much more vibrant color. The color is not almost a light grey.

There were significant stains that appeared on the pant through testing. We washed these pants according to 90 Degree recommendations and did not spill anything on them besides our sweat. Needless to say, we were disappointed in this metric, and even for the lower price, there are more durable pants out there.

Should You Buy the 90 Degree by Reflex Squatproof Interlink?

Within the first moment of trying them on, we knew the Interlink pants would not be our favorite. They immediately ripped at the seams, and tiny holes started to form where the ripping took place. While they were very breathable, that is about the only good quality these pants had going for them. The advertised "tummy control" did not do much to control our tummy, and we found ourselves frustrated with the fit. Overall, we do not recommend these to most people and suggest you look at other options from our lineup of the best yoga pants to wear for your yoga practice.

What Other Yoga Pants Should You Consider?

These pants come in at a low price compared to many of the others we tried. While they did prove to be very breathable, there were many moments we were frustrated with the way these pants fit. When considering the value of yoga pants, we feel one of the most important metrics to acknowledge is their durability. Out of the pants we tried, these are one of the least durable. If you are looking for a better option with pockets at a similar price point, we suggest the Ododos Dual Pocket High Waist.
