Our Analysis

March 2015 - The Cool Creek Pants have been Discontinued

These are great warmer weather pants for climbing or hiking. They also work well around town. We recommend them if you need an almost dressy looking pair of pants that has excellent mobility and a cool, lightweight, comfortable feel. They are great for outdoor activities with a bit of additional style and comfort.

Material

The comfortable, lightweight, quick-drying, stretchy nylon fabric feels cool in warm weather and keeps you fairly warm in cold temps. The downside is that the lightweight fabric gets torn up and worn out easily.

Sizing

Not too loose and not too tight. 32W/32L fit my average (5'10"/165) frame perfectly.

Features

Full leg gusset combined with the lightweight stretch fabric creates such good mobility it almost feels like you don't have any pants on at all! The breathable/ventilated mesh pockets help make the pants lightweight and keeps them cooler in warm weather. The small zippered right side leg pocket is handy.

Style

Casual and good looking. If not for the pocket on the side of the leg they would almost look like dress slacks.

Value

These are a solid value if you take care of them. If you are mostly hiking on established trails, you are fine. If you want to rock climb or go off trail, they can get beat up fast.
