Our Analysis

The Goal Zero Extreme 350 Adventure kit is one of the bigger Goal Zero systems. It is big and heavy compared to the smaller and lighter kits like the Goal Zero Sherpa 120 Kit but it is also much more cost-effective. It is for car camping and RV camping — we would not want carry this system far in a pack. It ran our mobile office for 3+ hours with a big LCD monitor and laptop. It would run a more modest mobile office much longer.

The inverter is quite loud: it sounds like you are running a hair dryer on low. It is not as loud as a gas generator but we expected it to be much quieter, like the Sherpa 120 system. Also, there is no mounting hardwear for Boulder 30 panel. It would be cool if it came with an attachment so you could put it on a tripod, but instead you have to buy that feature separately for $120-200.

If you want a smaller system for less money, look at the Escape 150 Adventure Kit which is half the price.
