Michael Wood

Michael Wood grew up in South Lake Tahoe, CA, where he developed a passion for nature and outdoor recreation. He split his time between the mountains of the Sierra Nevadas and the central valley where he sold produce from his family’s ranch at local markets, making him very familiar with canopy tents he tests. In 2016 he graduated with a B.S. degree in environmental studies from the University of Oregon, and his passion for nature and the outdoors led him back to his hometown. When he’s not reviewing gear, he is taking wildlife photography, mountain biking, backpacking or skiing, and constantly searching for the next adventure. Growing up surrounded by the majestic Sierra Nevadas has not only imbued him with a passion for the outdoors but has also provided him with a wealth of experience when it comes to outdoor recreation.
