Our Verdict

The Moving Comfort Endurance is Discontinued as of 2017
REASONS TO BUY
Soft
Cozy material
Breathes well
REASONS TO AVOID
Picks up and shows dirt easily
Boxy fit/shrinks in length when washed
Not durable enough for the price

Overall, Moving Comfort is a reputable company with good activewear pieces. In the case of the Endurance top, the real shortfall comes with the durability. The top picks up dirt and stains very easily, and so is limited in the activities to which it is applicable. And even if you don't mind looking dirty, the overall fit of the top does not hold up against the washer and dryer, shrinking and widening over time.

The Endurance has good features — it breathes well, kept me warm, and was soft and easy to move in. However, for practically the same price you can get other tops that hold up better, such as the Nike Miler Long Sleeve - Women's, the Asics Favorite Long Sleeve - Women's, or The North Face XTC. It is worth noting though, that in the case of the later two, the Endurance is a softer material. If you have good experience with Moving Comfort, want a soft, basic top and don't mind a boxier fit, the Endurance will perform well for you.

Our Analysis and Test Results

Likes

The Moving Comfort Endurance base layer is a good, basic exercise top. It was quite warm, without being too hot or restrictive. The material breathes well, and I found the sleeves easy to push up. The older design had a v-neck, which was nice for a bit more of an open, cooling design. While it is now a crew neck, the Endurance still offers a soft, easy fit and good ease of movement.

I reached for this top in cases where I could have used the Capilene 1 or the Nike Long Sleeve Miler, but when I needed more substance and warmth. It is comparable to the North Face XTC in many cases, such as warmth and breathability. However, the Endurance has a much softer feel and a more feminine look — if I knew I was going to be wearing a top after the exercise stopped, I preferred the Endurance over the XTC.

Dislikes

While very soft, I did not care for the fit of the Endurance base layer once it was washed. It shrank up considerably in length, giving it a boxier feel and exposing my stomach when stretching and reaching. The top also seemed to pick up and show dirt and grim more easily than the others, which isn't the end of the world for tough, outdoor activities, but why not avoid it if you can?

Also, for $40, I found it to be a very basic top, with no added features such as UPF or a cool design. For a lower price, you could have a comparable top with sun protection, such as the North Face XTC. Or, if you have $5 more, why not purchase the Asics Favorite or the Capilene 1. Both are far more stylish, have sun protection, and will retain their fit and feel after tons of washes.

Best Application

This base layer is a good basic top for a wide range of activities. It is relatively warm and breathes well, making it great for early mornings and high heart rate activities in cooler weather. A good choice for running, tennis, or any other "not-too-dirty" endeavors.

Value

For $40, this is a very basic top. The fit changed after being washed, and there are no stylish features or added sun protection. It seems to be relatively durable, and if you stick to cleaner pursuits without a ton of reaching and stretching, this is a good bet.
