The Florence Flip has been discontinued by Keen.

A cute flip-flop that offers both support and style, the women's Keen Florence Flip was the only piece in our review to feature a leather footbed and straps. Our biggest complaint about this piece is that it's not quite as versatile as our top scoring Editors' Choice winner, the OluKai Ohana - Women's; however, if you like dressing up your flip-flops, but still value performance, the Keen Florence may be just what you're looking for.

Likes

The Keen Florence is a little more fashion-forward than many of its competitors. It has some feminine flair and the leather gives it a dressier look. Perfect for women who want a sandal that will go the distance, but don't like the look of something like the Chaco Flip - Women's, the Keen Florence finished in our top five. The design is feminine without being too "girlie" and it is extremely lightweight and comfortable. Our testers reached for the Keen Florence when they needed a flip-flop for work or social situations that were casual enough for sandals, but dressy enough to warrant a skirt or dress. The Keen has enough support for dog walks and cruiser biking, and our testers regularly kept them on all day without feeling any aches or pains.

Dislikes

As much as we liked the design of the Florence, it can be somewhat limiting. There are times when we wanted a more basic, subtle flip-flop, without patterns or decorative buttons. We also discovered that the footbed is quite slippery, which while smooth and comfortable, was not good when water came into play. Additionally, the leather footbed and straps took longer to dry than many competitors.

Best Application

We recommend this flip-flop when you need to dress up your footwear.

Value

For $50, you get a cute, durable, and comfortable flip-flop. This is comparable to the Reef Women's Fanning and less than either the OluKai Ohana or the Chaco Flip. However, considering that the Florence is a bit less versatile, the $50 price tag makes them a bit of a splurge. If you get just one pair of high-end flip-flops, we recommend the OluKai Ohana.
