Should you get the InstaStart or the regular version?
We feel that generally the InstaStart is the way to go… as long as it lasts. We find that with most stoves the auto-ignite works great out of the box but then becomes less responsive over time. We have not completed our durability tests on the Coleman InstaStart yet so we can't comment. The downside to no InstaStart is you always need to have a long-handled lighter handy. The cost and hassle of keeping lighters handy makes the extra $10 price premium of the InstaStart worth it.
